Slovenia, with its universities, faculties, art academies and professional colleges, offers many opportunities to those looking for education at higher level.

After Slovenia entered the EU it became more interesting and desired country for many foreign students and high school pupils. Bilateral exchange agreements enable education to foreigners at Slovenian higher education institutions and high schools.

Students from EU countries enjoy the same conditions of study as Slovenian students. The situation for students from third countries depends on the existence of a mutual country agreement. Where such an agreement has been concluded, the students are considered to have all of the same study benefits as the EU students.
