The House of Tolerance festival, organized by the Mini Teater  theatre house and the Jewish Cultural Centre of Ljubljana , will take place from 26th March to 1st April. It will feature a number of film screenings, concerts, exhibitions and debates.

Modelled after the Tolerance Festival in Zagreb which began as a festival of Jewish film in 2007, the House of Tolerance festival has been highlighting since 2015 problems in contemporary society and encouraging debate on tolerance, exclusion and hatred towards marginalised groups.

They singled out the education programme for the young, taking place in the mornings and featuring films, lectures and meetings with WWII survivors.

Film screenings are a central part of the festival, with 19 feature, documentary and short films from around the world scheduled this year.

Also standing out are a photo exhibition providing Arthur Rothstein's take on Jewish refugees who fled to China, and a poster exhibition on the topic of tolerance involving 23 world famous designers, including Milton Glaser. The posters will be exhibited in Ljubljana's French Revolution Square.

The latest theatre play by Mini Teater and the Prešernovo gledališče theatre, entitled Jewish Dog, is also scheduled as part of the festival.
