Unemployment
From 1971 until 2010, Slovenia's Unemployment Rate averaged 11.62 percent reaching an historical high of 15.50 percent in December of 1993 and a record low of 6.30 percent in September of 2008. The labor force is defined as the number of people employed plus the number unemployed but seeking work. The non-labor force includes those who are not looking for work, those who are institutionalized and those serving in the military.
